$333,000 for Artists

66 projects receive support through King County 4Culture’s Individual Artist Projects program.

On May 23rd 4Culture’s Board of Directors approved recommendations from the 4Culture Arts Advisory Committee to support 66 artist-generated projects to benefit of citizens of and visitors to our region.

Congratulations to G. Gibson Gallery’s Eirik Johnson, for being among the artists funded.

The Individual Artist Projects peer review panel reviewed 295 applications. Project budgets totaled $6,396,122 with requests to 4Culture totaling $1,694,894. Panelists recommended that 66 artists receive a total of $333,000 in award funds this year.  The criteria for this program includes: excellence as demonstrated in the work sample and project application, project feasibility, and the public benefit to the citizens and visitors of King County.
