Join us in celebrating the recent release of Eirik Johnson’s BARROW CABINS artist book at Peter Miller Books in Pioneer Square. Eirik will speak a bit about the project, sign some books, and we will raise a glass together
This unique handmade and bound book chronicles work made in 2010 and 2012, depicting whimsical makeshift Iñupiat hunting cabins as seen through the extremes of the Arctic summer and winter. Limited to an edition of 200, each copy has been printed and hand sewn saddle stitch bound in the Juneau, Alaska studio of Ice Fog Press. A special edition of the book is also available, which includes a print of a previously unreleased photograph of dusk falling over the Arctic Ocean.
