The graphite drawings in her most recent series reference aerial photos taken in the aftermath of natural disasters. “Tumbled Trailers 1” comes from an image taken after Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

Eirik Johnson’s sound-based installation A Waypoint to Crescent Lake is currently on view at the Tacoma Art Museum as part of the biennial Northwest Art Now exhibition.

A few years ago documentary filmmakers, Robert Hall and Nol Honig of The Drawing Room, repeatedly visited the studio of Lori Nix and Kathleen Gerber as they built, photographed and eventually destroyed the Living Room.
