Sun in My Mouth – a group exhibit

Sun in My Mouth

This exhibition brings together seven Seattle-based artists, who create work about vital facets of American life often relegated to the margins of the unseen. Eschewing the stifling safety of dichotomy, each artist assumes expansion within the paradoxes of grief, addiction, maternal labor, inheritance, memory, bias, and honest connection. Sun in My Mouth is a conversation about the ache of becoming, and the welcome burden of holding multiple truths at the same time. Special thanks to Gail Gibson, J. Rinehart Gallery, Spectrum Fine Art, and Deb Achak for their generosity and unique contributions to this exhibition. And to Rachel Demy for helping with the installation.

Past exhibit at the ASSEMBLY Art Fair, 1100 W. Ewing St, Seattle, July 23 to 26. Please send inquiries about the works.
